2020: A Flame Ignited
Our team here at EKKO indeed burned the candle at both ends in 2020. We have a new-found respect for the word “pivot.” We have learned that sometimes lacking options, like the container shortage we experienced late in the year, unlocks a desire to take risks and create change. We saw small businesses reaching out to us to carry EKKO Candles. We also helped more small businesses grow their sales with private-labeled candles in some very unique and fun ways. We’ll never forget the new and repeat customers and retailers who have supported us at a time when we needed it most.
You gave us great feedback on the white containers we used for our winter/holiday collection this year. We sold out of everything for winter/holiday in mid-December. These containers will be back and better than ever in both a 10 oz. and a new 16 oz. size option. We still have a good selection of our year-round scents in the Original Collection clear containers and the Bespoke Collection to help you kick off 2021. All year-round scents that are sold out are being restocked. We ask for your patience over the next several months as we move from the clear containers to the white containers for an exciting new look and it will be worth the wait!
Next week there will be a restock on the wooden containers that you fell in love with, dough bowls and sugar molds. We put a new twist on a dough bowl candle by perfecting eight mini wicks for a beautiful, dream-like display of light, and you will have the option of seven of our best-selling scents. The sugar molds and tin refills are restocked in 12 of our best-selling scents and we’ve added a one-hole sugar mold to the three-hole and five-hole options.
A new scent will be available soon, Mahogany + Teakwood. We blended some of my personal favorites: cedar, oak, teakwood and mahogany with clean lavender and geranium. This is my one of my new favorite scents and I know you will love it too!
Tennessee Waltz has become, well, more Tennessee. We added some additional notes to the honeysuckle, jasmine and musk: amber, tonka, currant and tobacco leaf, for a more complex and amazing scent that will bring you right back to your roots.
When we are able to gather safely in small groups, I’ll be inviting both customers and small business owners/makers to join me for a pop-up event, where you can see behind the scenes in the EKKO studio and how we hand-pour our candles.
Thank you to our customers and my dream team who have all helped shape our business. We hope you continue to show your support by purchasing our products or by sharing about us with family, friends and through social media. If you have photos of EKKO Candles in your home or store, please send them to us at info@ekkocandle.com and we will share them with our dedicated followers on our Instagram @ekkocandleco. Please follow along for giveaways, photos, new products and updates.
We wish you all a very happy and prosperous new year!
XO
Debbie
